2008-09 Registration
The Before/After School Program is licensed by the Ohio Department of Education and follows the school age care guidelines outlined by the state. The purpose of the program is to provide a balance to the academic emphasis of the regular school day. The curriculum is centered on personal discipline, social development and emotional well being, recreation skills, and health and safety skills. The children engage in reading, creative construction, arts, puzzles and table games, science and math exploration, dramatic play, active indoor/outdoor play, and walking field trips. Homework time is built into the day. Students in the Before School Program may purchase breakfast through the district Food Service Department or bring a morning snack. Snack is provided to the students in the After School Program.
The Before/After School Program accepts School-Age Child Care Vouchers from Cuyahoga County. For information on how to apply for vouchers, call 987-7346.
TIMES: The program is in session on all regular school days during the following hours:
- Before 7:05 - 9:00 AM
- After 3:00 - 6:00 PM (2:00-6:00 PM Tuesday)

TO REGISTER: Registration is on a first come/space available basis. Families accepted into the program will receive written notification. Registration takes place from 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM at the Department of Early Childhood, located in Gearity Professional Development School, 2323 Wrenford Road, University Heights, Ohio 44118.
At the time of registration, the following items are required:
- Completed registration forms
- One month's tuition ($50 of your tuition is non-refundable if you cancel before 8/15/08)
- Notice of Childcare Payment and Placement letter provided by the county if vouchers will be used
