CLEVELAND HEIGHTS , OH – Cleveland Heights High School junior Evan Knoblauch threw a perfect game on Saturday, April 28, in the team’s 10-0 victory against Glenville. During five innings, Knoblauch struck out all 15 batters he faced. He also had three hits and scored twice.
Knoblauch is featured in this week’s Plain Dealer “Locker Room” section as a Player of the Week.
On Tuesday, May 8, the Heights Varsity Baseball team will play their State Sectional Tournament game at Classic Park against Eastlake North High School. Classic Park is the home stadium of the Lake County Captains baseball team. A victory on Saturday will result in playing the sectional championship the following day at Euclid High School.
Game time is 7 p.m. Admission is $5. |
