CLEVELAND HEIGHTS , OH – The Cleveland Heights High School Boys Track Team had some recent outstanding performances at the University of Akron Rubber Bowl Classic Indoor Track Meet, setting a State record in the 4x800 relay. Relay team members Dontave Cowsette, Jairred Aloway, Sylvester Watts, and Jared Hall broke the previous record by three seconds with their time of 7:51.6.

Also at the meet, the 4x200 relay team ran the seventh fastest time in the nation this indoor season, and the nation’s fifth fastest 4x400 time.

The Tigers ran at the Nike Invitational National Championships in Landover, Md., March 10 and 11. The Tigers’ sprint medley relay team finished second in the nation at the tournament. Relay anchor Jared Hall qualified for the elite division of the 800 meters by running the fastest time in the nation on a 200-meter flat track, a 1:55.29, at Case Western Reserve University in February. Hall, a junior, was featured in The Plain Dealer’s “Locker Room” section on Thursday, March 15.
