CLEVELAND HEIGHTS , OH – Music programs in the CH-UH District have long been lauded as exemplary based on the caliber of student performance and the advanced level of the pieces performed. Heights High vocalist and graduating senior Elanor Drushel received further validation of this while visiting colleges recently. The soon-to-be mechanical engineering major met with the music director at the University of Evansville, Indiana. He was amazed by the level of music being performed by Heights High students and said that much of it was advanced college-level. Elanor was asked to submit a tape, and was told she would definitely be included in the same choral group as advanced students majoring in music at the University of Evansville. Elanor is a member of the Heights High Singers, A Cappella Choir, and is among an elite group of vocalists to make All-State Choir. Elanor also participated in the recent Solo and Ensemble Competition.
Don’t miss Heights High vocalists at their concert on March 7, at 7:30 p.m. in the school’s auditorium
